Creating a safe, green space for children to play in underserved communities.

PLAYGROUND CONSTRUCTION

"Play Deserts" is a term introduced by Darryl Hardy, founder of the Gemini Foundation, to highlight the urgent issue of lacking safe play and green spaces in underileged neighborhoods. These regions often miss vital resources that support the well-being of children and families, leaving them without safe venues for recreation and social interaction.

If we disregard the children and families enduring these "Play Deserts," we risk facing the consequences of a deteriorating and potentially unsafe environment that can arise from such neglect. It is crucial to acknowledge the need for adequate play spaces for the health of our communities.

Fortunately, Gemini has responded by providing over 32 new and renovated playgrounds to combat "Play Desert" issue. By creating these inviting areas, we can nurture a healthier and happier environment for families, ensuring everyone has the to experience the joy of play and connection in their neighborhoods.
